The Barracuda email archiving solution slightly differs between on-premise and cloud version. The solutions they offer to market are part of acquisitions they have made over the years, leading to some inconsistency across the product set, reviews cite that this has lead to a lack of knowledge on the support team which leads to slow resolution times.

Furthermore, there are questions at the moment about the Barracuda solutions ability to enable customers to meet GDPR requirements, these requirements include a need to delete emails from the archive in a fully audited workflow, this isn't possible with the Barracuda solution at the moment.
