Enterprise Vault & Alta Archiving

Veritas offers 2 solutions, Enterprise Vault, an on-premise or appliance based solution and Alta Archiving, a SaaS offering.

Enterprise Vault is a very mature solution, feature rich and capable, but it is often complex to implement and use, assuming a high degree of technical and compliance expertise for all users, and has a fairly dated user interface.

Alta (previously Enterprise Vault.cloud) has a more modern UI, but lags in terms of features and reports of poor support due to engineer churn and low product familiarity are common.
