How to answer questions about migrating from a 3rd party archive:

We recognise that migrations from 3rd party archives can be complex and time consuming. Disappointingly, many of our competitors intentionally compound the problem by charging significant fees to export data from their archives.

In most cases, we have specially developed tools and nurtured partnerships to enable easy migrations from 3rd party solutions, but these vary substantially in cost and speed from one solution to the next, so we'll need some additional information before we can quote or provide detail on available options.

In order to ensure that your client's migration is simple, quick and economical, please ask the following questions and provide their answers to a sales engineer or product specialist:

1. Who provides the existing archiving solution?

2. Which specific solution is in use?

3. What version/edition/plan/subscription of the solution is in use?

4. If on premise or hosted, where is the solution hosted and who controls the infrastructure?

5. How much data (in gigabytes) needs to be exported?

6. When is the renewal date for the current solution?

7. Has the incumbent supplier quoted for the export and if so, what was the figure?
